Waseda University Brussels Office: BOOKS LAUNCH (hybrid) EVENT The Spring Session

The Waseda Brussels Office will be holding its first book launch on Monday 23rd May 2022 in order to promote the recent publication of 2 books which are the results of Euro-Japanese collaborations.

This event will be the occasion to foster the positive effects of collaboration between Japanese and European researchers and scholars.

WBO aims at organizing book seminars on a regular basis from this year onwards, in order to promote international joint research, as well as raising Waseda’s profile and research in Europe.

This first book launch is entitled “Comparing Value Debates & Political Norms in Europe and Japan” and will focus on 2 main publications :

• Book 1 - Value Politics in Japan and Europe (François Forêt (ULB) & Airo Hino

  (Waseda)) - Routledge, 2021

• Book 2 - Origins and Consequences of European Crises: Global Views on Brexit

  (Brite Wassenberg (Uni.Strasbourg) & Noriko Suzuki (Waseda)) - Peter Lang, 2020

  This hybrid event will take place both online and at the Institutes of the European Studies on the ULB campus. It will be the occasion for interested scholars and PhD students to network, debate and present their own research work.
