The 26-27 October 2019 The World Young Scientists Summit took place in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang province in China. The event was organised by the Zhejiang Association of Science and Technology for the Chinese Association of Science and Technology and attracted some of the highest young talents in Science and Technology from around the world, to share their experience on few topics and discuss with top senior researchers about the future and responbility of scientists and international science collaboration.
EURAXESS China supported an afternoon session during the summit called China-Europe Sustainable Development for Future Community Symposium. EURAXESS, in cooperation with the Association of European PhD Students in China, came with around 10 European early career researchers to attend the symposium.
EURAXESS Country Representative introduced EURAXESS and the emphasis on sustainable development and solutions to Climate Change in the next R&D frameowkr programme of the European Union, Horizon Europe. EURAXESS member and ERC Grantee Manuel Garcia introduced his ERC funded GECEM project and a group of European phds participated in a session called Sino-Europen Young Researcher Cooperation Vision.
