The European Commission has published a video tutorial showing the EU Skills Profile Tool for Third Country Nationals in action. Services that offer assistance to refugees and migrants from non-EU countries, such as national authorities and/or NGOs, can use the tool to conduct interviews to record the individuals’ skills, qualifications and experiences. Completing the skills profile is part of the pathway towards integration in the labour market and wider society.
The video demonstrates how the tool has been used in national settings.
It helps to map the skills, qualifications and work experiences of the third country nationals and to give them personalised advice on further steps, e.g. a referral to recognition of diplomas, skills validation, further training or employment support services.
